Challenge: Shutter Speed (Basic Editing III)
Collection: Challenges
Camera: Canon EOS-10D
Location: home
Date: Nov 1, 2005
Aperture: f9
ISO: 100
Shutter: 2 sec with strobe
Galleries: Action
Date Uploaded: Nov 1, 2005

This is a strobe shot with a delayed curtain of 1 second after the strobe fires. Simply put speed at one second and fire away. The moment the flash goes off you remove your hand quickly, otherwise it would blur. The image was rotated 180 degrees. The coins were simply thrown up and what you see is what the strobe caught. There is a 100 watt lamp to catch some of the trails.

Very nice. Love the slight streak of light behind the falling coins. I can't "see" the detail on the coins but it sure looks like there would be if I was close enough. Very clear and crisp.

Looks like the coin on the right is defying the laws of physics! - Nice shot though, imaginative.

COOL!!!!!!! Great movement and I like the blur of some of them, yet it's tack sharp. This is really well done.

Nicely done. I rather like the fact that not all the coins are frozen
