 I love to be creative I carve and paint pumpkins with the kids.The bats I drew and made my own pattern.All I did to the photo was a little crop and border.

Like the bats! Not sure if it's the exposure time that causes the edges to go soft or if it's truly lacking focus....

cool pumpkin... the soft focus is not too bothersome for me with this subject, but the highlights are a little too blown out

Overall nice carving, I like how you captures the glow of the pumpkin flesh in the non-carved locations. The bats do seem to be a bit over-exposed though (but I acknowledge that the other glow would be lost if you reduced the exposure too muchy)

Your pumpkin almost looks transparent from the light inside. Your carvings are pretty good but not all that interesting.

You've captured a nice glow here from the flame, especially around the cap. However, the lack of crispness and bland composition keep it from being very strong for me. 4
