Challenge: Self-Portrait Revisited (Classic Editing)
Camera: Ricoh RDC-5300
Location: Wilsonville, OR
Date: Jun 17, 2003
Aperture: F/5.7
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/181 sec.
Date Uploaded: Jun 17, 2003

Cropped, slightly resized to get it within challenge size limits. I like the lighting on this, a little, but no, it's not nearly as good a photo as I'd like. It's definitely better than the alternatives, in my opinion.... I have enough trouble when I can see what the camera's going to do before it does it.

This photo kind of has a snap-shotty look to it. I think the lighting & composition could be better. A little out of focus. Good attempt.

I think you should center the eyes only if is the only thing you want to show... and maybe in B&W or sepia tones works a little better, you should try it outside the challenge

You're eyes are out of focus did you try using an unsharpening mask?

Blurry and the color is bad.

Blurry, though the "just-eyes" idea is good.

hi there, this is a hard photo to talk about, mainly because there is so much potential there. I would have done a few things differently. I would have cropped the shot differently, made it a crop just above the eyebrows to eliminate the glare on your forehead. Did you try to sharpen the shot a bit?

not sharp enough and the composition is a bit off

Focus is a bit too soft and I wish there wasn't the yellow color cast.
