Hello there, now there's a face for the name.
Was hoping for something a little more light hearted, but when I smile my wrinkles show more :)

I hate photos of myself, especially since I am not photogenic.
Almost didn't submit for this one, decided to try at the last minute. My first batch was horrible, almost gave up, tried a different lighting setup and came up with something halfway descent. Shot outside with available light bouncing off side of house. Boy did I want to use the diffusion filter on this one.
Settled for some sepia toning.
Oh yeah, I tripped the shutter all by myself :)

The flow of your hair, the grain of the wood, and the soft mood of this picture make it very good indeed.

Looks like you're taking it hard.... (much too hard for someone who is still so pretty, or, at least, could be). So, I don't like the title, but I like the photo. Good background, and seems like the b&w works good, it makes the photo.

Good use of negative space - I think the face is a little too bright, though. Nice melancholy mood.

Terrific portrait, and I must tell you that my favorite part of this is your hair. The light you used really highlights just how smooth and perfect it is. Nice work!

A beautiful picture, the texture of the wood contrasts nicely with the light tones in the face. The wood grain is also mirrored nicely by the texture of your hair, the fact that these have lines running parallel heighten their textures. Nicely cropped. 9

Awesome contrast between the hair and face. And the wood also gives a nice "balance" to the overall shot. Great, 8.

Good crisp shot. The hair and the wood texture surround the face nicely.. The skin tone seems a little pale. It does produce an interesting contrast though.

Beautiful expression on a beautiful face. I like the cropping, you allowed room for the viewer to follow the direction of the eyes. The wood in the background is a little distracting. This would look really nice with a white or grey backdrop, or just a blurred background.

Very clean and sharp, the contrast of the skin tone against the backdrop is great! I like the off-center composition and I think that desaturated was definitely the way to go. Good work!

Nice study in texture, although, with the exception of your hair, you seems to have none. Focus is soft around the lips and I'm not sure the lighting is all that flattering as your features appear flat.

Lovely pensive expression you've captured there. The sepia toning works well. Just a little blurry around the mouth area tho - 9.
