| An abstract in the self-portrait challenge, that's impressive. I like this shot... surprisingly having the focual eye dead center works great. Not sure what that stuff in the foreground is, but it seems to work well. |

| Great idea, but the focus is a little too soft on the eye. The frame is distracting. |

| Would have liked to see more contrast in this one, though I don't know if you'd be able to do that without losing the one eye.... |

| I'm afraid the part I really like (images in the border) may be outside the rules... so I think I've gotta score as if that part didn't exist. 6 instead of 7 or 8, I guess. Sorry if this is being too pedantic--I'm pretty new to the site. |

| Nice! I've seen similar framing and cropping in some magazines recently and I think this is a great example. I really like the grainy feel. Not at all keen on border. |

| unique presentation of a common idea (the 'just my eyes' thing). border works for me, as does the soft focus. |
