Challenge: Shutter Speed (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Casio Exilim EX-Z4
Location: London, England
Date: Oct 27, 2005
Aperture: F 3.1
ISO: 1600
Shutter: 1/1000
Date Uploaded: Oct 28, 2005

This took about 100 takes on a shutter speed of 1/1000. I had to balance the first one, and then the second coin on top, letting it roll off to the side in time to the self timer on the camera. Tricky, but i like it.

Hey guys, thanks for all the positive comments btw. This was like my first picture I've ever taken properly with a digital camera. If you anted a brief explanation, I put two pieces of cardboard either side of the coins and then removed them in syncronisation with the timer on my camera. I do agree with you all about the background though, it is a bit dull and badly made what with the obvious gap between the wall and floor and the pieces of dust!

These English pennies are making me home-sick! Only kidding =;-) They almost look posed because they are so 'frozen in time'. Simple but attractive.

Very nice, Good catch mid fall, very crisp and focused. I like how it fills up the screen.

I think it might have looked better on a white background.

Try a a curved black backdrop next time and be aware of dust specs, they always show up in macro shots!

I'm not sure how to vote on this one. Maybe an explanation would help.
