Used aperture and shutter priority. Used center foucusing. Used tripod. Placed glass on a stand and put a 100 watt light under it pointing up. Used a transparent curtain as a backdrop. Held the cup in my hand so the delicacy of the china could be seen by showing the shadow of my hand. Post processing included brightness and contrast adjustment, unsharp mask, noise reducing filter, and resizing.

Beautiful set- very delicate. Would've liked to see it posistioned upright instead though.

this does not say delicate to me. I think teacups are delicate yes, but this photo is not. The lighting is good. I think it's too close for me.

I know you are holding it for the back lighting but I wish your fingertips on the upper right weren't peeking out.

love the lighting in the background, and around the edges of the hand - a bounce card filling in teh shadows on top would make this nice IMO - beautiful shot -
