Thank you very much to all of you for the votes and comments. I didn't get to be among the 3 first ones, but I got very close. I received 50 very positive comments and I was very satisfied. The line between the non sense and ridiculous is very thin and it is very gratifying when we noticed that we got right in the point.

pikyto congratulations with your fourth place.

Great idea! Just a little more light on the eyes and a tad more contrast with the background and this would could be a sure winner.

Very original and successful too. The sepia toning fits in well.

Very creative and fun! I like that the tones in the print are slightly different, to make it exact but also definitely not just a white frame. Neat!

Excellent job lining up the photo with the real deal. The background does't line up well, but your glasses line up perfectly. Creative for sure. And VERY well done. Focus and clarity are good as well. Only thing I notice, and this is me being very picky is that the photo is tilted. has a bit of a right lean. might have been quite difficult though to get this perfect.

Excellent picture, great idea and execution. Kinda surprised the border of the actual picture isn't identical to the border of the picture in the picture however :)

This is so friggin creative and cool. It kinda sticks with me, even when I walk away from the computer. In my top 5!
06/19/2003 08:01:35 AM
Cracking idea. Could have been funnier with a vertical split and eyes looking in opposite directions though.
06/19/2003 03:09:57 AM
This is just amazing... I'd love to see a 'how'd they do that' after the competition because I can't even imagine how hard it was to match up perfectly like that.... fantastic shot, and top marks for originality.

Very creative and you matched it up just right. Looks like you could use a little more light on your face but since im such a sucker for B&W and sepia I won't change my score.
06/18/2003 09:18:00 PM
lol. very original. Thanks for the chuckles. Nice tonal range too. Jacko.

WONDERFUL !!!!! One of the best here! great idea, very clever!!! I hope you win.
06/18/2003 03:42:47 PM
Interesting idea. But it seems a little out of proportion, which throws me a little. Just a little too weird.
06/18/2003 03:00:07 PM
you did this well.
06/18/2003 12:57:43 PM
This is certainly funny and original! The lining up with the glasses is spot on, it really does a great job in looking 'real' - the only really petty thing is that the background vines dont show in the 'photograph' section, which may have been intentional, I'm not sure, but I think that would have just made it more of a 'wow' it's still a neat shot as is. I also like the toning. I think the 'goofy' look also helps with the jovial mood of the entire image.

This is great! I'm seriously impressed with how precisley you lined this up.
06/18/2003 10:45:41 AM
Hmm.. you look familiar.. :) besides the exposure that don't match its a good photo
06/18/2003 10:30:30 AM
Great job! Must have been a tricky one to pull off! - 9
06/18/2003 10:04:42 AM
The print-out is a great idea!
06/18/2003 10:03:30 AM
This is really cool!
06/18/2003 05:49:22 AM
nice idea! I like it. nice composition and color. background is also OK. only paper is not OK IMHO because it is tilted left-up and it makes all picture a little bit unnatural.
06/18/2003 02:36:49 AM
06/18/2003 12:38:32 AM
Well executed. Amazing how you were able to match the size of the print to your face for an almost perfect match! Very creative idea!
