Greetings from the Critique Club

I wish I could think of what to say here but this photo leaves me wondering. Without the title I would be lost.

Your concept here is good but I just feel like one of the people needed to be more in focus so it didn't leave you wondering what is that.

As for lighting I just think there is too much dark nothing at the top and when you look at the overall photo you are drawn to the light of the sky above the buildings rather than the umbrellas.

With that being said I will point out though you met the challenge excellently grain can be seen through out the photo.

I'm not sure to understand what I see but it's not really importtant..I like it as I can imagine lot of things..Maybe a little too dark on the top...

Too much of the photo is blurred, no main focal point

It's umbrellas, seen through a gap in a wall or fence? No ... maybe they're reflected in a puddle? Could the little bouncing particles be rain? Hail? Popcorn? It's not beautiful, but it's interesting, imaginative and it's certainly challenging. I like all that! You'll get a crap score, but don't let that stop you doing this stuff. We all need to be stretched a bit. 7

Interesting abstract shot. I can see the umbrellas, but my eyes have to work hard at it. Some grain, but compared to other entries, for me, it doesn't hold my interest as much. Guess I'm not into abstracts - sorry.

I don't know exactly why, but I absolutely love this. Grain is perfect, drops are lovely. Excellent!

Good attempt at using an out of focus main subject. Slightly more DOF I think is needed to make it pop. Also a little more contrast to make the bouncing water stand out would also help.

Can't really make out detail on this one. Not sure what I am looking at, but grain is definitely prevalent.

Nice idea. Umbrellas a bit too indistinct for this to have the impact you were trying for but great shot.

IMO this needs to be more in focus. I really can't tell what is going on.

Hard to see this picture. Like the splash happening at the bottom but can't quite get a handle on the subject.

Love the understatement in this photograph. Turning the reflection upside down is a wonderful, wonderful twist.

Love this. This is one of the very few times the title really adds to the photo. Wonderfully framed. Great focus (or not, as the case may be). Very cool feel to this. 10

Completely intriguing...lovely somber tones...then there is this magic created by the raindrops...truly and completely lovely.
