That's really old. Never seen a dock built like that. I like the colors, texture and the diagonal line. Nice shot. |

I too love it, know they are not, but first impression is that there are pieces of the dock floating out on the water. It would have worked well for me in the personification challenge for the price of old age, or something similar. Works in so many ways, just truly lovely to look at, well done!!

Wow! Great shot! I would have to say I agree with barndog in every aspect with one exception. Don't add a border (unless it's a very small one). I think the image is just perfect as is. There are a nice blend of subtle colors and hues and your composition is dead on. I also noticed barndog's observation of the dock. I also really like the way it draws your attention deeper into the image and this is further emphasized by the trail in the water drawing the viewer even deeper into the image toward the horizon.
GREAT SHOT!!! |

The coloring and texture of the dock is outstanding. I especially like the edge that is in the water and has a glow to it. |

This is a perfect shot. You should sell it.
Why I think it is perfect:
1. The dock leads the eye into the picture / bright spot of the sky
2. Lighting / shadow and texture of the dock is right on
3. The water has some kind of line of detail in it taking your view on a journey along the same path as the dock
4. Floating objects in the water add interest
5. Color contrast of the dock to water / sky is pleasing
I would add a border and put it on DPC Prints |

This has a nice feel to it. The dock coming in from the left leads you to the water quite naturally and the foam(?) trail in the water completes the leading lines out to the horizon. Good timing with the lighting and cloud formations.
Very, very, nice. |

I like the composition, of course, but my favourite thing about it is the rich colour and textures of the old dock. It has really nice depth and detail. The background at the upper-left is rather flat, and would be more attarctive to me if it had more contrast & depth. The light coming from the upper-right, along the shallow water is nice, but could also be a bit more contrasty to match the dock. This shot is also missing monkey-butts. |
