Thanks everyone for your comments. I am really surprised that 1. so many people gave it below a three, and that 2. so many people gave it a nine or ten.

For me personally, this is one of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken. Maybe it could've used a little less green, but I've played with it a lot and been very happy with it in many incarnations. And I had to pick one :) I definitely felt it was better with a little color as opposed to black and white, but also that full color detracted from the shot.

Anyway, thanks.

I like the way you've use the space of the shot to contain the subject - like he's in a box. The background could do with being slightly darker - you can just see some folds. But his is a nice shot - well done.

A gorgeous, expressive and vulnerable self photo. I applaud you. This is my pick of the week.

Simple but effective pose. Adding some backlight would have given more definition to the outlines and hair.

This is one situation where the amount of extra black on the right doesn't hurt the composition but sort of balances it. I like the rawness of this.

I was almost going to mark this down, cos I'm jealous of your body - LOL. But it's too well shot for that and so had to give it a high rating :)

While nude males don't attract me at all, I do think that you have made a very good and tasteful image. The choice of colors is great. The composition is wonderful. It almost looks as though you're trapped between the borders of the photo. One of my favorites this week. (8)

Saw similar pose in Julia Margaret Cameron exhibition recently - this is equally interesting. I like the lighting too. Focus seems soft at left side?

Way too much green in the shot. Use "Levels" to add more Blue tone. Or to remove the Green also.

black and white would have been a nice touch to a great shot

Very cool. My son says" Why do all you people have to get naked" He dosent get how we go about expressing ourselves artisticly.

I think a portrait should reveal some character, or emotion of the model, by showing expression in eyes or other facial features. Did your picture accomplish that?
Yes it did.
artistic/creativity? Nicely composed

Technical?/good lighting

Overall? good job

I love the delicate light and the good use of negative space on the right. Very artistic. I also like the way you're peeking at the camera.

the color of your skin is yellow, and the background is not black 100%... you should have adjusted your camera for this kind of light, and use another aperture and speed..(
