the dof seems too shallow for this shot. Were you shooting at F2.8 ? I wonder what if you shot this more perpendicular to the leaf surface, getting more of leaf in focus.

I really like this. The crop at the top may be a tad too tight. The rich colors and detail of the leaf are showcased well here.
