 my boyfriend and his lawn equipment ... we were taking photos for his new website and landscape business .. so this challenge kinda fit pretty well :) .. i wish we coulda put text into this one ... after the challenge i'll post the same shot with the text on the image as a real magazine cover (i do just wish that dead palm frawn wasnt in the middle ... oh well - hope to break 5.7)

No truck, shot taken in the evening or early morning (side lighting) and a clothing in greens yellows or greys (basically subdued) would have done the magic.
The composition is nice...

I think this shot would have benefitted from a less cluttered background. The contrasting colors are nice though :)

Most of these types of magazine covers feature over-saturated colors -- I'd try and tweak this one a little. Of course, could also be my monitor or eyes!

The truck in the back detracts from the shot. Perhaps a different perspective could have shown all lawn, to give a better delineation of equipment.

The different gardening tools fits the magazine well I think. The car while it provides some contrast to an otherwise almost greenish picture is a little distracting I think.

Nice-looking model but there are too many elements in the image. Get rid of the truck which competes for attention.

Now that's a mower. The photo doesn't have a lot of impact for me. I like the contrasting red, green and yellows in the photo.

I like the colors and equipment in this shot, very appropriate for your magazine. I have to say though, that I was a bit distracted by the brownish leaves (dying tree perhaps) in the background above the shoulder. Otherwise, nice shot.
