Were they intentionally designed this way or accidentlly bent by a vehicle?Who knows. Anyway my 2nd go-round with stand pipes that caught my eye with their slopeness postures. I hope this qualifies as a personification theme.

Some cropping, contrast and hues with gaussian fading.

This is just terrific! I like the sign imploring the tired pipes to get up. Actually, you could have titled this, "Nonalert."

The good: lighting and dynamic range are excellent.
To work on: To me, the pipes actually seem less than alert since they are slumped over and "sleeping". Am I the only one reading it like this? I would have called it "The Slumbering Pipes".

Looks like they've fallen asleep on the job!

Something about this amuses me. I think, in a different challenge, this image would not work so well, but here it fits. They don't really look too alert as they are leaning, but what can you do? like the tones used. 8 - good luck in the challenge.

"Drunken Mates" might be better title, but you got the idea.
Technically and estheticly well done.

Love it. I see a couple of drunks though. Nothing alert about my view.

It looks more like they are resting to me. :) Good find.

I saw this image and instantly thought "Tired" & was surprised to look up & see "Alert".

think "drunk" or "relaxing" would be much better titles, they do NOT look alert

Compelling, but I don't know why. Good clean shot, effective.
