 Samhain is pronounced "SOW-EN" and is a Celtic word meaning "Summers End." It was celebrated November 1st as one of the largest pagan fire festivals, a time when it was believed the dead could cross over to the living. The Christian Church adopted this celebration and called it "All Saints Day" in honor of dead saints. The evening before it (October 31st) was called "Hallows Eve" (the night before All Hallows/Saints Day). Today the festival is known as Halloween.

I was one of the people who gave you a 7. I thought this would place higher based on sheer difficulty of shot. By far the best jack-o-lantern

wow this picture is really cool! i like how the light glows from the top of the pumpkin. the colors are really great too. nothing bad i can say about this picture. good job!
