Well, it's raining REALLY hard outside and so to cheer myself up I thought I'd do a comedy shot. So this image is to personify a teenager waking up one morning to find that a spotty monster looking back at them in the bathroom mirror!

Not expecting this one to score, at all, but just thought it would be funny, that's all.

I did this with one Target cushion I got at a PS1 party in New York a month ago. I brought home 4 of them for cushions on my balcony, but also thought the pattern looked like a spotty face..and thought this challenge would be the only possible opportunity I could ever share it!

Getting the light right in the bathroom was almost impossible...especially with the mirror, as I have no funky lighting rigs. I turned all the lights on possible and shot with no flash, otherwise the face went bright white.

Hope it made you laugh.

It seems that very few viewers got this one. I thought it was very funny myself. You are right. I needed to make the fact that it is a bathroom clearer! Just my bathroom is very small!! But that's great feedback mesmeraj. Thanks.

great idea, but not exciuted in a way that most viewrs would "get it". It is not obvious it is in a bathroom and it is a reflection (at first i thought it was two lids). SOme extra props like cosmetics or pimple cream would have helped tell the story you were trying to convey.

nothing has been personified...use a dictionary

So cruel :)

I'm not sure what you were trying to personify, but it's not coming across to me as a viewer. The red circles remind me of the Target department stores.

Okay, I can see it.... Interesting idea. It's a bit of a stretch!

I cannot make a personification, either physical or emotional, out of this image.

Took me a minute to realize targets were pimples. :) Interesting angle and crop. Good luck!

Bumped this up on the second pass. I can't find the dof focus, everything looks a little out of focus. Still bumping it.

LOL, this is great!

I don't understand how this meets the challenge, what is being personified?
10/12/2005 12:48:14 PM
cannot tell what this is and does not convey the emotion the subject is giving
