Powerful image. The dog look has a feeling of "I'm bad" but because you were able to keep the leash in the picture we know that the owner is the "boss". Love it. Focus is excellent. Perfect. Composition is so much better because you got down to the level of the dog. Great picture.
Adding to my favorites.

I really like the dog, although I can't help but feel that the leash shouldn't be there. The leash seperates it from being a cover shot and being a shot for an article inside the magazine. Still, it's a very nice picture. I like how the dog nicely stands out against the background. 7

Great shot. What character and energy.

Really good angle. I like how you got down to the dogs level for this shot. The background however is cutting the dog in half. see the strong horizontal line in the background that cuts right through his neck? Unfortunatly at such a low angle, it's a bit hard to avoid without completely relocating or shooting from a bit higher, which wouldn't be as appealing.
Focus and clarity are really good. i wonder if this would have more visual impact had the dog not been wearing a harness and leash. I think it would make him seem more dignified and well behaved. anyway, it's a good shot.

Nicely blurred background but the leash spoils this shot.

Not much of a dog person myself, but the photo is clear, has the right depth of field and exposure.

Easily a cover quality image. A proud stance, just right for your magazin'e cover.

Cute dog :) Nice crop and DOF. Not wild about the leash being visible. If you could have got it to keep that pose while being off the leash, that'd have been great :) 9

Cute doggie. Would like a better pose though.

nice picture... for the magazine cover i would prefer seeing the dog without the leash... 6

I like how you captured the dog when he was leaning forward a bit. It gives a sense of motion or eagerness to the picture.

He's a star

Isn't it a bitch? (being on a leash that heavy?)

Good photo (DOF, colours, brightness). Perhaps could have been horizontally balanced a bit more. I'm can't see it being used as a 'cover' though.

This is a truly amazing photograph! It is so clear and the lighting is perfect, the composition very good, background very good. And the chihuahua is an A+.
Can you tell I like this a lot? 10

would have prefered it without the chain, but still a nice shot-- 8

This would be a great cover picture for the magazine. Although your focus and DOF are great, I think the background is a little busy...but, of course, if it were a real magazine cover, by the time you add the title and side captions, it probably wouldn't be much of a problem. He's a very cute dog. 10
