ah, this is a complicated one to review, I like a challenge.
I love the lighting, and the clouds in the background. the angle is great, and including the monument in between the two pillars was a small stroke of genious.
BUT: I saw this problem in another photo of yours, and I see it here too. You need to control your f stop. It's one thing to have an extremely short DOF, and one thing to have a very long DOF. A long DOF is what I think you needed here. Not just to get District of Columbia in focus, but also to try to get the monument to "pop" out, as it were. a very short f/ like 2.8 and focus on the white monument alone could also be interesting.
also, you might think about inclding at least 10% ground, everything is just floating in the air here.
