One of the last pansies left in my windowbox..taken in shade from about a foot away...I don't have a real macro lens, so this image required cropping; levels, brightness/contrast, shadow/highlights and unsharp mask...there were a few spots of discoloration on the petals, but because of basic rules, I couldn't clone them out or use patch tool.

the flower seems to be a common thing in this challenge and some are done very well..........

Love the textures on the floral petals - the whole composition almost appears abstract. The only thing that really detracts is the center of the flower - most likely this was part of the flower but those white filiaments call attention away from the yellow center.

Nice idea, but the yellow does not stand out enough.

I love the idea of this but it needs to be tack sharp to be an effective macro. The colors are wonderful and the detail could be great and textural, but back to the focus - it's just not there. ;~(

Yes it meets the challenge but it is too soft or out of focus for me.
