I really like this scene, too! It is happy and warm and friendly. I wish I was there right now.

has too much of a snap shot feel to it

For me, this is a nice snapshot of what looks to be a fun festival or celebration of some sort. My eyes kind of wander all over, but compared with other entries in this challenge, doesn't hold my attention as well.

Well....not exactly a coffee shop, but more of a shop that happens to sell coffee. Aside from that, I'm having trouble finding a center of focus that is very captivating.

i like the coffee sign amd the chocolate o'hara sign. i would be interested in seeing how these elements could be featured more prominently in the picture...by picking one sign to focus on, showing a tighter shot of the crowd, interesting angle for the shot, etc.

Interesting picture. Looks very "local'. Nice small gathering where everyone seems to know eachother.

Just a snap shot. However, meets the challenge and for that I am thankful.

I love the outdoor coffee shop, but in this shot the background craft fair is a bit distracting. Maybe a tighter shot/crop would have been better. Regardless the focus is good and I like the overall feel. Nicely done.

I mean this in the nicest way possible -

what is this a photo of? the coffee sign? then the rest of the information is only visually distracting - is it a photo of people enjoying coffee? then I would suggest that there is too much information above the people to draw any attention to them.

If you ask what it is that you are shooting, and then simplify the photo with framing, and cropping in post production, you'll have a stonger photo that conveys a simple message that the voting folks, and other viewers will understand.

As it is, it's a snapshot with no real subject of focus. See how that works? I hope this helps, it's a discussion I have with my beginning photo students all the time, but it's hard to tell how it will be taken online - know what I mean.

Keep pushing that button - :-)
