Greetings from the Critique Club

You received a nice, respectible score for your Pirate's Life image. Technically, it's just fine, in my opinion. Compositionally, ditto. This leaves the selective desaturation and the Challenge theme. While I like the selection of the red, I do wonder how it would have looked in full color. A nice rich brown leather jerkin(?) and green shrubbery behind could be quite effective. Of course this is speculation. You made your choice and it's a good one.

Then, were people confused by the image's relevance to "Your corner..." Perhaps a title such as My Alter Ego is a Pirate would have been more to the point. (and again, perhaps not.)

Well, I'm just ruminating. You've got a good image and scored reasonably well. So, keep doing what you're doing and I wish you continued success in DPChallenge.

Great color, image and theme. One of the best IMO in this challenge. I hope it does well. --10--

A good, interesting looking character. Not sure it portrays your corner of the world, but I may have missed the point completely!

7 because I liked pirates of the carribean. I not sure if I like the selective saturation with duo tone backdrop. 7

If this is you, that's really a nice personal shot! Like the desaturation use, too...good image.

Interesting picture. Love the way you left his scarf red that way. It brings his brawn down a notch and softens his personality.

HEE HEE Love the title. The single red sat is a nice touch and works. I like the detail of this guy. The lighting works well.
