From the VA State Fair 2005.
Was walking back from the 'Lost & Found' station after hoping to find my wifes camera - no luck that evening. I was hurrying by to get out to the parking lot. REALLY wanted to get this with the ferris wheel moving, but they were taking FOREVER to get it loaded. Oh well...it was fun nonetheless!
Took this handheld with shutter priority (1/100) to get the lights the way I wanted.

this is great! i love how you've isolated the wheel and ice cream stand in what was probably a really busy scene. |

i like the way the ferris wheel appears to be floating. i also like the outlines of the people, i think it adds to the effect of the photo |

FUN!! I think the ice cream stand makes the shot and certainly grounds it. Very clear and not blurred like some ferris wheele shots. Good use of negative space. |
