I made a daytrip up to Nikko National Park and took lots of photos. My portable HD ran out of battery power, so I had to start taking JPGs instead of RAW photos otherwise my memory cards would fill up too soon.
Anyway, this is part of the famous Ryuzu no Taki, Dragonhead Waterfalls. It was very hard to decide which picture to choose, but I guess you can't go too far wrong with a waterfall pic.

Details: JPG, auto levels and contrast, then I played around with colour hue and saturation in PS Elements to make the foliage brighter and a bit more autumnal. Resized and USM applied.

oversaturated... looks a bit un-natural.

Generally an OK shot, but the highlights are a bit blown out. Personally I prefer waterfall shots at slower shutter speeds to give a misty effect to the water.

Looks like a nice spot. Next time bring a tripod and use a longer exposure to make the water smooth and soft.

I would have slowed the shutter speed down here. You've got enough motion blur here to give... blur. A little bit more would've given that nice dreamy soft look to the water.
