I paid a visit to the Los Angeles Zoo. It was a little hot, sending most of the animals to the shade for sleep. This was one of the few exhibits with any activity.. a group of Gerenuks - originally from Africa.
It's really interesting to watch the animals - some seem so oblivious to our presence (though they're probably not) while others seem quite inquisitive. This particular female seemed to love to mug for the camera - I got quite a few shots of her checking me out.. but this was the one with the cleanest background.
