 Open, Adjust raw Sharpness, Crop, Size, USM.

As shot with a little USM. 15 Second exposure to get the helicopter trail creates light effects from fire that I may get dinged for over exposure. Could have dodged/burned but decided to stay with "as shot" colors. Oh well.

This shot with the helicopter circling Chatsworth Peak was the most interesting that I took that night. The helicopter would turn on it's search light every once in awhile. And there was a few people on the side of the peak with lights that would appear on occasion. So I got the impression that they were checking the peak for fire spots and/or people.

It took me about 5 hours to find and get this close to the fire in this area. I found a road that wasn't blocked. I got as close as possible but stopped by private property. When I saw this huge peak glowing with reflected light, this is it. I knew that these rock formations could make for dramatic shots.

Interesting lighting. I like the effect of the glow here. Hopefully this one wasn't too close to your house!

The powerlines(?) are a little distracting. Not too sure about the title
