The lighting seems harsh (probably due to the time of day). It's overall a nice action shot, but a faster shutter speed might help. This would help accomplish two things (as I understand it). One it would shorten the exposure time and help darken the image overall giving the sand a less "white" appearance. Two it would help reduce some of the motion blur. I would also suggest a little tighter cropping to eliminate most if not all of the sky. Your focus in this particular image is on the action going on, not the sky. As it stands, it seems like a strange mix of landscape/action photography.
