Thank you for all the comments. I think I should give you some explanation of my photo.
This is a glass of Cola lit by strong, direct sunlight, put on a sheet of white paper and photographed from above. Then I cut off the part with the glass to obtain the impression that what you can see is the glass itself. As simple as that. :)
I suppose it was too vague and now, after some time since my submission, I do not like the photo as much as before.

The shadow is sort of intersting but there is too much grain in the image. Would probably work better on a pure white background.

I like the approach. Interesting. The balance seems a bit off and I think a slight rotation and alignment would help a lot.
