Thanks for all the feedback...it's always nice to get advice and opinions from those who know more about what they're doing as opposed to looking at my own stuff. I was just happy not to come in dead last or be DQ'd -- especially since this is my first entry. I have had great luck with my 35mm SLR, but have had some difficulty adjusting to a digital. I have taken much better pictures with this camera, but find it difficult to actually SET UP a photo. Thanks again for the feedback and advice...I'm still having fun learning about and playing with my camera and appreciate all the help I can get.

Neat colors and shades. Its a bit blurred so its hard to make out the bubbles.

There doesn't appear to be a focal point. If you intended to have a blur I think it would have worked better if there was a focal point to it

For me, this composition needs a bit more focus on the subject and perhaps move the angle so the glass is off-centered a little. I do like the blue background and lighting. Good effort.

I'm looking closely at the photo but, unfortunately, can't make out any bubbles. The photo is smaller than it should be and appears to be out of focus. There are some interesting light reflections on the glass and the top of the glass looks like it might have an etched pattern on it, but isn't clear because of the focus issue. It reminds me a bit of my own first challenge attempt. I think there'll be some intruction in the forums, somewhere, about image sizing for upload to the challenges, if not in the rules. Hoping this won't fare 'too' badly for you. It's great fun learning and the challenges are great incentives, I think - hoping you agree.

Bit on the small side. Unfortunately I can't really see many bubbles here - I think you lost detail/sharpness somewhere in processing this.

Please don't be offended by this comment. I am making an effort to comment on all images that I scored below a 4. Although your image meets the challenge requirements, I believe attention to the following might have served to make it work better for me (Mind you, this is only MY opinion):
Image is very dark, out of focus, wrinkled background is distracting. Cropping foot of glass makes it feel out of balance. Blue color does not enhance beverage. Bubbles are barely visible. Image is much smaller than the allowable size.

I think this would have done better if it were larger (sorry - I'm sure others have said this as well) and the focus were quite a bit sharper.

Because of the size of this picture, it is a little difficult to see the bubbles. It also seems to be out-of-focus. The blue is a great colour.
