FIRST IMPRESSION: Looks like a frog. I like the contrast with the solid black background, and the light reflections on the gloop.

CHALLENGE: It's liquid, and it's not water, so the challenge is met.

COMPOSITION: The framing, with the leading edge of the liquid not touching the side, gives a feeling of movement. Again, the lighting here is very well done, with good reflections and no real hot spots.

TECHNICAL: I'm assuming macro was used here, and that's most likely a good part of why it came out with the level of gloop detail. However, the edges are a bit fuzzier than I'd like to see them, especially visible in the front of the gloop.

CONCLUSION: A good interpretation of the challenge, well shot and executed. The depth of field/focus issue may be difficult to address in macro photography, if that's the mode used for this shot, but the detail and lighting make this a very nice shot.

Thanks for sharing and good luck in future challenges!

Gloop is right! I'm not sure what this is, and I don't really care all that much. You've just managed to make it interesting with the lines and light you've used. It might be nice if more were in focus, though.

nice color, different liquid. I'd crop the bottom (and a bit on the top) and make the background black for more impact.

It's.... ALIVE!
It does kinda look alive, which is interesting. Very liquidy, no distractions from the main subject, so good composition even if the subject is a little on the strange side.

Is this displayed upside-down? It almost looks like a hard resin that was flipped after it cooled. I like the liquid feel of this photo, and the composition is interesting. I might have left a tiny bit more black on the right edge, so the eye doesn't leave the photo before it swings back in for that other curve.

My guess is this photo was flipped upside down! Hope to find out after the challenge is over...

It's a sort of interesting image, colors, lighting and composition are OK. I think a little more of the foreground in focus would work better - the blur hurts the eyes a little. I think if you could have brought a little more out of that center drip - through light, better focus, something - it would have helped a lot. 5

Wow, kind of cool. I assume you've turned it upside down to achieve the weird effect. Good lighting and highlights that give a real "fluid" feeling to this shot. It would be really cool if the entire thing were in focus, but as it is, you've at least placed the focus in the perfect spot. Cool shot.

Gloop, indeed. Makes an interesting image, though.
