Very interesting and creative shot. I like the bubble placement and the shoes are just fantastic! The reflection in the bubble is very nice. Well done!

Greetings from the critique club :-)

Initial thoughts
Love the red shoes, they immediately made me think of 'The Wizard of Oz' Creative idea and if there had been the focus on the bubble it would have been a great shot.

Composition
Though I really like the composition of this shot I think I'd like to see the crop not quite so close. Her foot and leg pose are perfect and create lovely lines. The inclusion of the gingham dress edge adds to the 'Oz' illusion and shows great attention to detail...good work!

Camera work/technical
Lack of focus on the bubble is the biggest technical problem with this shot. Bubbles are incredibly difficult to focus on using the A/F, sometimes all you can do is set the camera to M/F, prefocus on where you hope the bubble will go and wait....and take lots of shots! It's good to try different aperatures to find the look you want..higher f-stop with everything in focus, low f-stop with just the bubble full focus and the shoes slightly OOF. Experimenting like this gets you the image you can see in your mind. Image is only 76kb, you will find you get better image quality if you use the full 150kb you're able to upload in the challenges.

Digital processing No comments from the photographer to go on.

Fits the challenge
Definitely fits the challenge though would have received much higher score with the bubble focused.

Personal opinion
I love the creativity and idea of this image, colours are great. Look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Exvellent composition and colour, I'd like to see the bubble a bit stronger focus in the picture.

I like this idea, but think that the bubble should be more in focus than (dorothy's) shoes??

For me, I wish more of the focus had been on the bubble rather than the ruby red slippers. I like the sparkles off the shoes though.

Love the thought that went into this one. I don't think the idea of bubbles is conveyed well, though, because the bubble looks more like a flare in the camera. Needed to get a better detail of the bubble to make this a really great shot.

I like the concept .. but on execution with the bubble not being focused it has lost some of the impact ...

I had to look hard for the bubble.

Now the composition in this shot is fabulous! The ruby red shoes with just a peak of a blue and white checked dress invokes the imagery of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. The bubble in the forefront of the shot makes the viewer think of Glenda the Good Witch (whom in the movie at least) appears from a bubble. The only thing that this suffers from is the fact that while the shoes, feet, and dress are in perfect focus the soap bubble is not. It would strengthen the composition if that soap bubble in the immediate forground was also in tight focus. Not knowing what camera you have I am going to give a broad suggestion: If you can manually set the aperature on the camera you might want to set it at it's highest number such that is closes down how much light is let in through the "open shutter". The reason for this is that it will give you a greater depth of field and objects in the forground and background will be in sharper focus. It also might be a good idea to have a tripod or a make shift tripod so the even the slightest movement from the photographer does not affect the focus on the shot. Even then, I found that bubbles are very challenging to work with. Oh and cudos to you for your patience and persistance for this shot. It must not have been easy to get the bubble you wanted to float into the scene.
