id like this a touch darker and less fence in background. gaussian blur it out and its a keeper. |

I like the detail in his beak too, Judi! He really has gorgeous colors - the purple is wild! Nice work capturing this sweet little guy. I like the way he stands out from his background. It looks like a bit of feather detail and some of the detail in his feet have been lost from compression or post-processing? But he sure is sharp and fine - he looks happy :-)

Crikey, Judi ... 120-odd views and no comments? He's a cute little critter, too. Beautiful colours and depth-of-field control. My late Dad (who was a dedicated bird man) would have loved this, and would have said to me "Now that's what I call a photo!"
I, on the other hand, have a much more weird sense of humour. For example, this bird looks like it has a tiny soccer ball in its beak!?
