Took this shot from the Griffith Observatory parking lot. I had to hike for a little while to get this shot but it was well worth it.

i had this same idea, i decided not to to do because i knew it'd be hard to make the smoggy la sky look good in the pic as I'm sure you realized.

cool shot
but the foreground is unnaturaly contrasty and the backround has is very faded...if u don't already, shoot with a UV haze filter. or in PS up the contrast and pull the brightness mback to give it some more clarity and pop. GL tho cool scene

good idea, fits challenge, know you had to take this from a distance so some clarity lost.

Only comment would be to pick a better angle to shoot the sign so the H is clear.

Smoggly LA. Color could be brighter here. Otherwise, nice frame.

Unfortunately it is hard to capture a picture of this famous sign and have it score well as there have been soo many photos captured of this and displayed in the media everywhere. Your direct competition here will be harsh. =)

This certainly fits the challenge, but just doesn't have much pinache. It's just a hill with some trees and a sign. Granted it is the most well known sign, but there's nothing to make me say WOW! Just got back from the area - I wish I were still there .
