My first entry on dpchallenge..

I had some different ideas in mind, tried them too, but came back to this idea every time.
The lighting was very hard, without flash there were no bubbles, with flash there was (and still is) a bright spot at the head of the little duckie. I decided to take that risk ;)

Thanx a lot for your comments!
I chose to use these colors (b/w with a little bit of yellow photofiltre) to make the image a bit "oldfashioned". The ducky was pink with a green beak, I didn't really like it.
Learned a lot with this shot and your comments too.

I like the color tone. Very creative interpretation of the contest!

Heh, cute. Bubbles galore, great focus and nice use of light.. but I think the black/white nature of this image really lets it down. When I see a rubber ducky I'm expecting a splash of vivid yellow/orange color and so this image comes across kind of flat to me. I don't know if a selective desat. would've worked here or not, might have been too overpowering if it could've been done. I do like the bits of interest such as the tub upper drain and chain but I think color *might* have been better - unless there are flaws with the tub itself. Anyway, cute but didn't draw me in any more than that. I gave a 4.

rubber ducky is best when YELLOW. IMO

A very nice shot, but the black and white makes the photo appear flat. Color would have been a better choice with this photo. I would have loved to have seen the bright yellow color of the duck resting in the sparkling white bubbles The color would help to capture and hold the viewer's attention.

I did a very similar shot to this for this challenge, but I have to say, yours is better :)
