Initial Impression: Funny image that falls a little flat.

Detailed analysis: Although this image does meet the challenge very well IMHO, there are a couple of things that could help it do better. As the others stated, the lighting is a little flat. It appears as though it was raining at the time you took this photo which could account for the flat lighting (overcast skies). I think you could probably adjust the hue/saturation and contrast to help add more interest. The position of the crow in relation to the pelican on the right is rather unfortunate. It almost appears as if there is something wrong with the pelicans head. The crow is not very obvious. A slightly different angle would probably eliminate this particular problem and help better differentiate the three birds. I love the title and your explanation of the situation in the comments.

Overall Impression: Pretty good shot that needs some minor tweaking. A little more patience in the composition and some post-processing would help this a lot.

Very funny. I know, you are lucky you got this and how greater it would have been if the other pelocan had moved a bit more to the right. Still, I love it. 7

Wonderful shot of wildlife I'm just not seeing the link to the challenge.

You took a funny picture in thie context of the challenge. Your image lacks contrast though. You might also give it a try in B&W. 5.

Too funny -- The title couldn't fit this image any better. Great catch -- 8 --

Great idea, and I like the way the black bird is looking a bit paranoid. I wish the colors popped a bit more on the water, but a good shot nonetheless.

I really like this image but the lighting is a little bit flat. You might try boosting the contrast to give it alot more impact on the viewer.

it's great, except for how the black bird is covering the second pellican

Damned pity about the second pelican and the bizarre headgear on the black bird. At least IMO. If it were just the two birds...
