Thank you for all the interesting comments. The question of weather or not it is a bubble? Most dictionaries include in the definition something to the effect of: “A speculative scheme that comes to nothing: lost money in the real estate bubble.” (From answers.com)

The shot was done with a piece of glass suspended approximately ¼ inch above the stock market tables. The glass was coated with Rain-X to increase the surface tension and a drop of water formed the “bubble.” Lighting was a single umbrella to the left.

Creative, simplistic, well-named.

I question what kind of "bubble" that is? Technically this shot is awesome but how is the bubble created and does it contain air or is it water? It looks like a piece of glass that magnifies for reading or doing crafts.

Wow that's new. What is that, a contact lens?

A very clever play on the word bubble and quite different from many other entries I've seen. Technically perfect but in compositional interest it lacks something that will retain the viewer's attention. Hmmm, perhaps showing a little more "action" with this shot would have improved the visual impact. A suggestion: maybe showing the stereotypical stock market graph which show rises and falls i.e. like a red arrow showing stocks have taken a plunge appearing alongside the above numbers and bubble in the above shot.

There is just nothing here to hold my interest.

clever double meaning here. I also like the "zoom lens" effect that the bubbly thing is producing to draw your eye right to the google price quote.
