This photograph was taken in the Narrows area of Zion National Park. These boxelder trees were growing 50 feet up in a cleft in the canyon wall. The canyon walls themselves were several hundred feet high at this point.
Beautiful shot. Brings back a lot of memories. I hiked the Narrows in the summer of 2000 with my wife ( then girlfriend ) and it was about the best trip I've ever taken.
