You've done a masterful job conveying personality with this photo. The crop feels a little tight but not so much to be damaging. Sharpening's a bit aggressive. Among my top picks for this challenge.

Nice expression. Nice lighting.
The sharpening works well on the beard, but not on the eyes. Maybe use a layer mask?

Indeed a character who looks like he has many stoies to tell. Great depth of focus and just enough sharpness and contrast to bring out a real feeling of emotions. Great job 10 easily.
