i find this really good. the expression and the composition. there is a lot of noise and that's probably why it didn't get that much recognition. too bad. great shot otherwise!

seems oversharpened and posterized to me.

Assuming the graininess is intentional. Like the colors. Nice portrait.

I can see how the grain would add to the rustic, western feeling, but this is not my personal preference. A good composition in any case.

At first glance I didn't think the noise helped, but the more I look at it the more I like it.

the graininess is excessive, but I think this may have been a very good photo without it, or with a much more moderate amount of it

I like the weed in his mouth, but the part that's dangling is bothering me. We use to do this same thing, only without the fuzzy part. Overall this is a great character type portrait. The hat shadowing his eyes gives him mystery, he could be any cowboy. Good capture.

Cool shot, the noise is a little much for my taste but gives a nice old feel to the photo.

This seems to be grainy, but that kind of gives it a gritty look. I like the blade of grass in his mouth - nice touch.

I love the colors in this image, the reds, the blues, the greens, the yellows, as well as the blacks and whites. Great composition, with very nice details (even through the grain) in the shadows. I hope this image does well. Good Luck! <9>

Honeast and real, but a little grainy.

IMO, this would be much better if we could see the eyes. They are there, but very dark in that shadow. The way the lighting is now, and the angle, brings the nose to my attention and I don't think that's the best feature to focus on. Colors are good, maybe just a bit oversaturated but I suppose it depends on the look you're going for. For me, the grass chewing is also kind of distracting. I think there would be better ways to bring out personality. I hope this is helpful. Just one woman's opinion! :)

I would like to see the eyes.

Looks too over-processed.

Nice shot, but the focus looks a little harsh to me.

really neat...would be better with less noise maybe not sure

Over processed, but I think it would work if I could see his eyes.

Nice! I like this one quite a bit- the grain really works well here, doesn't it? Thumbs up on the coloring too :)

Oh yeah, I love the 'true grit' look of this! If I had to suggest anything I'd say maybe a slight pan to the left. Great job!

too much noise, not visually appealing
