** Greetings from the Critique Club **

Pros: Composition is executed perfectly within the rule of thirds.
I like the DOF - the feeling of depth is excellent. Nice contrast.
Subject matter is pleasing to me as I like old snarly trees, old wooden items, etc.

Cons: The yellows seem a bit over saturated.

Nice clean picture. I would have cropped the bottom since that rock is distracting. I like the moss you caught on the tree. Very solitary.

I love this craggy tree. Great subject. The grass looks very yellow and it is a little tough on my eyes. Maybe you could tone down the yellow. Really well suited to this challenge. 9.

Very nice composition with that strange cloud in the background. Is it slightly crooked? 9

love the feeling of this picture... desolate lonely but full of life ... I like the location of the tree in contrast to the big rock...

When I looked at this photo I wondered what it would look like in B and W. I don't know that it would make it better, but I just wondered. GJ, and GL.

Seems to be slightly overdone (saturated colours i think) in 'post' stages.
