Endeavor is a photograph that has excellent potential. The prospective is good, and you caught the tree at a spot that fits the Title.

The photo has a very, very tight DOF though, and hides all that. Is it possible that your camera was set on fixed focus or on a macro mode? Is it possible that your autofocus is off and needs repairing? This would explain part of the problem. I would like to see other photos from this camera to see. The Focus problem hides the Endeavor.

The coloring is off I believe because of the focus problem. The part that I do see in focus looks to be spot on for coloring with this type of tree.

The crop of the photo could be improved slightly, the branch coming off and up to the top of the picture is distracting and in shadow so it does not look pleasing to the eye. With a tighter crop this would be removed.

Good luck in future challenges :) I’m sure that your future challenges will do well :)

Ugh, too much jpeg compression or what?

What do you want the viewer to focus on within this image? To me it feels extremely busy and lacks creativity. Perhaps to improve the image you could have spent just a little longer in finding an interesting angle or perspective to capture. 4

What happened here? The focus is a mess.

Beautiful shot, nice composition and color! I wish it were less blurry, though.

something needs to be in focus to me

Interesting capture, but the resolution and colors are very weak.

I assume the point of this picture was to depict a challenge to a tree-climbing youth based on the title?

Technical issues would include blown area on the left, with chromatic aberrations, slight clockwise tilt, No focus anywhere in the picture and low contrast (probably the cause of the loss of focus)

Good that you made the effort to submit though. It is always good when you see how you can improve.

Suggestions might include cropping the left side off the shot and boosting contrast in PS. The shot ultimately needs to be retaken. It would be much more interesting if there was a young boy either looking up, contemplating climbing the tree or in the process of climbing the first few lower branches. A narrow vertical crop would add the feeling of height. Changing to a narower aperture (higher number) might make focusing a little easier.

After writing all of that, I think I just noticed that there is a bird. Sorry.

this is really fuzzy maybe because of a low megapixel?

Kind of blurry, nice shot though.

The shot is okay, but the image looks pixelated or out of focus to me.

It's boring and not in focus...

just too much

The picture seems a little blurry. But I like the idea and perspective.

Image could be a little sharper.

Very busy. Not sure what the eye is meant to look at. Seems to be badly out-of-focus.

needs sharper focus.
