Well, it's not what I had in mind. I wanted a pure black or gradient background. Instead I now have the neighbor's house and light streaks from cars and planes. Oh well. I want to thank my sister for keeping the shutter button pressed in bulb mode. I'll have to get a remote some day.

The fruit and vegetable hanging in the tree aren't visible anymore . There are peaches, apples, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, chili and grapes. Most of them are over-exposed or too small to notice :(

I tried to re-shoot this image behind our house today (Tuesday). Since I spent half an hour unsucessfully trying to get the RebelXT to focus, my sister got tired after another 30 minutes of shooting. I didn't get a decent picture anyway.

I have no idea how this shot will do in the challenge...

i dont really like the green house and purple sky. a little to unrealistiic for me. sky and house distract from the tree.

... and it looks magic! Such a surreal mood you have created. Good creative use of augmented white balance to make an other-wordly statement. The apples add a nice allegorical touch as well. 8.

Lighting is ok but the subject is lost in the background. White line is a distraction.

Very cool tree...I don't know if another angle would have been better something that would have eliminated the busy background. Regardless it is still a cool shot.

It looks like the aliens are invading, or something: the luminous green of the house and street, the glow of the streetlamp, the mysterious ropey streak in the sky and the slanted ufo sort of thing in middle left edge. The purple sky is quite striking. I don't know exactly how I feel about this picture yet, but it definitely is different.

Wow, great surrealism from a long exposure. The colours are terrific. Love the aircraft and the blips from it's strobes along its track :)

Too overprocessed, the house across the street doesn't add anything, and the light is distracting. What is falling from the sky?
