saw a fire, shot some pictures. this one was particularly fun for me to play with. hope it does ok.

someone might comment that the 'police line' tape is backwards.. if someone knows how to successfully flip the words, go for it.. maybe I just had a blonde moment.

'flip' and 'rotate' sure didn't work.

Flipping doesn't work because the tape has curled over and you're seeing it upside down. If you look toward the right, you can see where it starts curling.

Great shot though, and a subject near and dear to me :)

Nicely seen and nicely captured. This is a very nice high-contrast image that lost very little detail in the shadows.

Is it possible the wind blew the tape around where the writing faced the firefighters?

Good contrast. For me though, the added yellow border detracts my eyes from the photo itself because yellow is the outstanding color...I see the hats, the tape and the border.

Awesome, what an image, right out of newsweek!

I like the photo, not sure if the border works for me but no deduction of points for it. Good shot. 8

I like the candid sense of this. The "do not cross" tape makes your eye go from side to side and ties in with the yellow of their hats. The contrast of the water against the dark background works as well. Looks like something you'd see in Life magazine.

great image... the yellow border however takes away from the drama for me... well done

Excellent action shot. Good capture of the water and mist. Great lighting and contrast. One thing, I think I would have liked to see the fire that they are fighting. Kind of looks like they are sitting in the middle of the street playing with the hose. Also, the bright yellow border is very distracting.

I don't like the frame. THe photograph is good but It isn't relaly high contrast enough.

Good action shot (the water came out really good). I think the "crime scene" tape wants to become part of the border. Mabe a different color or no border at all would have worked better. Good work though! 9

The image is of high contrast qualities, but I don't see how the subject(s) are in contrast with anything else in the image. Still an 8 from me though, good job.
