Not sure if it was light that day or from the post processing but I like how the ephemeral quality the dead branches have, which along with the powerful and shallow DOF really make the green leafy branches stand out. Composition could be a little more striking though.

Strange. I can't quite make out what's happening with this. At first I kind of liked the shallow focus just on the green branch, but the out of focus bits look too odd to me. Oversharpened perhaps? I'm not sure that the overexposed sky is helping either.

DOF is too confusing. Looks like you oversharpened too. On the + side, the greenery is lovely!

The intent - I think to show the green branch against a baren background doesn't work in this case to make an interesting pic -- the background is just too busy and harsh for me.

Focus is off--I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at. The trunk in the foreground, the branch in the middle, or the larger trunk in the back? I do like the colors, however.

Didn't like the depth of field, the white branch seemed like it should be the subject, not the green, but it's not. It's just in the way.
