Even without seeing the 'ladybug' - which would anyway be difficult, given the colouration - I certainly got a feeling ffrom this image which matched your title: almost entirely impressionistic, really, as I'd be very hard pushed to sya exactly why this worked for me. Too many of the properly sophisticated photographers here have ceased submitting very often, and I'm very glad that you continue to do so, however often your stuff is misunderstood.

Great macro. I'm certain DPCers will go nuts over this image. I especially like the color treatment and the bokeh. Curious if you did any extra blurring in the bg?

Bugs creep me out, but I like your photo. The colors, sharp focused foreground and soft background work well along with the overall composition.
