In the French Quarter, there are no gardens but what you can fit on the balconies. Luckily, there are a lot of balconies. Most buildings have some sort of plant life all over them, some more elaborate than others, and it adds to the very characteristic look of the Quarter. It's very refreshing and somehow makes you feel like you've stepped back in time.
