 Was a plain looking mushroom before photoshop got to it.. I removed the few parts where the sun was shining through the trees above the mushroom, adjusted contrast/curves, and selective desat on the subject.

I love this - would like to see it a little less centered with more dark to one side. You made it look just like it was night! Isn't PS grand?
