 All day long the sky in Newport had the most amazing clouds... and of course when I go to shoot at sunset they all happened to pass! Oh well... would have liked this to be a bit more dramatic, but it's the best I could get given where the sun set and the sky.

I really appreciate the delicate rendering done with this picture. I think it would have been very easy to overdo the sky - I'm sure I would have been tempted to do something to "bring out the color," so to speak, but its understated presence is perfect as it is. I can see this now only because you have already presented it to me with such a clean and polished finish, and I can look at it as a final product, which is something I can almost never really do with my own pictures. This is valuable. Thank you.

Like the way your shoes lead the eye to its owner. Nice lighting and beautiful sunset.

There's too much sky. Consider the rule of thirds when placing your horizon. DOF could be stronger by getting the trainers with a slightly sharper focus. Otherwise a good idea well done. I like how you lead the viewer from the shoes to the wader with their orientation, and the way you picked out just enough of the sunlight on the trainers and nothing else. 6

A tiny point I noticed, was the lack of footprints between the 2. Can he fly? If so, cool! I'd pay to see that. :D

I really like this picture. I like how you have the shoes in the corner and then the person in the ocean far away. I love the sunset and the coloring. This picture makes me fell very relaxed.
