 This photo was taken inside a Kiva in Mesa Verde. A Kiva is a ceremonial building that has been used for ceremonial purposes by Ancestral Puebloans for approximately 700 years. I love the way the sunlight came through the Kiva opening and lit up the stairs for this photo. Stirring up a little dust added to the effect.

OH neat. I wouldn't have found it so interesting until I saw the title and read what it was. Nice catch of an interesting moment!
