I want to thank everyone for their comments, especially those that saw what I was going for - you took the time to look. I expected this image to do poorly - noise, slight blur, dark, funky color, everything the DPC collective dislikes. But I believe there is a real world out there and I like to show it. If you have ever spent time in dive bars as an outsider looking in, as a musician there only for the night, you'll come to feel like this image - dark, alone, in the shadow and only partially seen. To the drunken crowd watching and yelling and being obnoxious, you are barely there at all.

I really liked this photo and gave it an 8. I liked the gritty/edgy look to it....

I love little dive bars (well, used to, don't go there now). I always felt more at home in them (yup, with a dog walking around and pickled eggs on the counter in a jar) than any club. :)

Wow, way underrated, you were robbed! I love the gritty tone & shadow. I can almost feel the sticky, tacky, beer-soaked floor beneath my feet.

The title fits, you can almost smell the beer and cigaretts, nice lighting effects.

I don't care for the post processing. Like the low key effect. Love the noise. Like the focus. Would like to see it in a straight up b/w.
