Thanks for the comments. I had my finger over 1/2 of the flash, but she had a very light blue dress and she is very pale. Also, she was on a raised portion of the sanctuary, so I had to shoot up a bit.

Light is way to harsh and throwing shadows IMHO. 6

The delicate sound of the lovely harp. Bumping up.

Great picture, Van! It is perfect for the challenge. Kristyn looks like a lovely angel with her white dress and harp.

Work on difusing your flash better.

I think this pic would have better with more courageous cropping. Now there are too much dark and empty space up right. I would have cropped one third from up and one fourth from left. But a great moment have been shotted!

I don't think the lighting is too good here. She and her dress are kinda washed out. Also, her face is right in the middle, so the composition doesn't work that well. Does fit the challenge though.

You have potential. A few things in this picture detract from the main focus. One--the mike. Two--the lighting. Next time, try to top-light the model. That way, you don't get the bight pinpoints in the eyes, either.

Nice picture but she looks like she's been frightened by something.

Onboard flash has not worked well here (in fact, doesn't really work well anywhere). Quality of the light is too harsh, and casts unattractive shadows. I'm not at all sure about her expression. Background looks like not much thought went into it.

How talented she must be! Great capture!

I'd just like to see this re-shot with a nicer expression on her face....a smile perhaps?

Harsh flash lighting and too low an angle - an otherwise nice image.

Your musician seems a little overexposed.
